The primary purpose of the Swiss Bike Park Foundation is to promote sporting activity among the Swiss population. The focus is on the bicycle. The foundation promotes the healthy and safe use of bicycles by children and young people and aims to teach them not only technical and riding skills, but also safe and considerate behavior in road traffic. It is dedicated to projects in which offers are created for bicycle enthusiasts in the areas of road safety, health, leisure and sport for the entire population. Therefore, the foundation supports, as a first project, the realization of the Swiss Bike Park Oberried (Bern).
 

Furthermore, the Swiss Bike Park Foundation establishes a competence center on the topic of "Swiss Tourism and the Bike" with the aim of contributing to the strengthening of tourism and becoming a Switzerland-wide multiplier. For this purpose, it promotes cooperations as well as innovations and provides knowledge and products for projects in this context.

2021, the Swiss Bike Park was nominated for the innovation award "Milestone - Excellence in Tourism". In addition, many exciting projects were implemented.
