Downhill Berns

The former downhill pro Emilie Siegenthaler shows you how to ride downhill curves in the safest way.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Always look ahead, so that you can judge the berm optimally and prepare yourself.

2.   Adjust your speed so that you have finished braking by the middle of the turn at the latest.

3.   Try to keep the pedals as parallel as possible, so that you can push into the berm properly.

Downhill Serpentines

Former mountain bike pro and current national trainer Kathrin Stirnemann explains how to ride serpentines safely.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Brake before the curve.

2.   Start into the curve high and shift weight to the outer leg.

3.   Look at the exit of the curve.

Downhill Switchbacks

Mountain bike enduro pioneer René Wildhaber shows you how to master hairpin turns with confidence.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Adjust the brakes properly and know the trigger point. The tires must be adjusted to your weight and put the saddle down - that helps!

2.   Start on easy, flat terrain and choose a surface where you will not slide.

3.   Don't overdo it at the beginning and approach the switchbacks step by step.

Downhill Steps

Downhill pro Noel Niederberger explains how to ride steps and heels safely.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Walk the section beforehand and look for a safe and smooth line.

2.   Look far ahead and adjust the speed to your abilities.

3.   Make sure that the pedal position is always parallel and keep your bum behind the saddle.

Drops

Slopestyle pro Lucas Huppert shows you how to overcome drops safely.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Start with the small drops until you feel confident, then you can work your way up to the larger ones.

2.   Set the saddle low so that you have enough space for your legs.

3. Inspect the drop first on foot and visualize the movement in your head. Don't drop until you have the whole movement in your head. Once you're headed for the drop, you should go straight through it.

Jumpline

With former BMX pro and national coach David Graf you will learn how to ride the jumpline properly.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Place the feet correctly on the pedals, already on the flat of the arch.

2.   Roll slowly into the jumpline.

3.   Roll all the way through the jumpline, keeping the wheels on the ground, so that you get the feel for the jumps.

Kids Track

The former MTB national trainer and J&S instructor Beat Stirnemann shows you how to ride the Kids Track safely.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   The Kids Track is for the young and the old, whether with pushbike or with mountain bike - take care of each other and have fun!

2.   When riding for the first time, ride slowly and stay low in the corners.

3.   Look ahead!

Pump Track

The track builder Claudio Caluori shows you how to drive the Pump Track correctly.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Pump the tires very hard. This helps you roll faster and gives better control in the corners.

2.   Put the saddle low so that you can move better on the bike. On a pump track you are always standing, not sitting.

3.   Look ahead. This applies not only on a pump track but on any trail, and even in traffic - because then you see what's coming at you.

Downhill Rock Garden

MTB Crosscountry Pro and Olympic medal winner Sina Frei shows you how to master the Rock Garden safely.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.  Walk through the section to look at it and decide on a line that you feel comfortable with.

2.  Look far enough ahead and follow the line you have memorized.

3.   Very important: be relaxed on the bike, center of gravity behind the saddle and let the bike work.

Science Loop

The head of competitive sports Swiss Cycling Beat Müller explains which settings on the bike make you faster.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   In addition to the tire dimensions and the inner rim width, the tire pressure also plays an important role.

2.   The tire pressure has a significant influence on the rolling resistance. If the tire pressure is too high, the entire bike must be lifted over every bump on the ground. This increases the rolling resistance because bumps in the road are transmitted to the rider's body in the form of vibrations. When the optimal tire pressure is used the tire can absorb the bumps, which leads to a more efficient forward movement and improves performance.

3.   The optimal tire pressure must be selected depending on various factors. As a starting point we can follow this guideline: the tire pressure should be set so that when you press on the tire with both thumbs and full body weight, you should just not quite reach the rim.

Trick Jumps

MTB Freeride Pro and track builder Ramon Hunziker shows you how to jump trick jumps safely and as stylishly as possible.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Watch other riders and observe how they master the jumps.

2.   A centered and relaxed position on the bike is important.

3.   Listen to your gut - if you don't feel ready, do another lap on the pump track, and come back later.

Uphill Ramps

E-Mountainbike pro Nathalie Schneitter shows how to ride the uphill ramp with confidence and ease.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Adjust the tire pressure to the body weight.

2.   Slide forward on the saddle and shift your weight onto the handlebars. For the e-bikers among us: lower the saddle so that your center of gravity is lower.

3.   It is also worth looking forwards to visualize the line. This way hills and roots can also be ridden safely uphill.

Velo Drome

Road bike pro Stefan Bissegger explains how to ride the Velodrome correctly.

The three most important tips summarized:

1.   Always start on the left and overtake on the right.

2.   Start on the white line at the bottom and then ride further up as you get faster.

3.   To leave the track, always cross the lower white line towards the left!
