Downhill switchbacks

This skill station maps curves as they occur on very many single trails in mountainous terrain. They are not yet very tight, so they are easy to roll through. However, they are already so narrow, steep and slippery that good line selection, eye tracking, weight shifting and braking technique are required to master the curves cleanly and without a locked rear wheel. A perfect training ground for trail-friendly driving, such as in alpine terrain.

"These steep switchbacks in the Swiss Bike Park could just as easily be part of a high alpine trail. The best way to master the narrow paths and curves is with the right eye for the line, a sophisticated braking technique and a good feeling for grip. For honing these skills, you'll find the perfect training ground here."
